About Adelaide Construction Institute

Our registered company Bush Tukka pty ltd was established in 2018 is as a commercial non-Indigenous, South Australian catering company and is a recognised catering brand in Adelaide specializing Australian native foods, working with communities, and promoting Australian Indigenous herbs and spices in foods served.

Bush tukka or tucker, also called “bush food”, is any food native to Australia and used as sustenance by Indigenous Australians, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, but it can also describe any native fauna or flora used for culinary or medicinal purposes, regardless of the continent or culture.

Adelaide Culinary Institute (ACI) www.culinaryadelaide.sa.edu.au has been established by experienced team of chef trainers and assessors and its primary objective is to deliver high quality nationally endorsed qualifications in Culinary and Hospitality in Adelaide and in doing so, provide each learner with the skills and knowledge required to work effectively in Commercial cookery and Hospitality industry.

In 2025, Bush Tukka Pty Ltd undertook a strategic expansion of its education and training portfolio to include Construction and Trades qualifications, recognising the critical skills shortage and growing demand for qualified trades professionals across South Australia and Australia more broadly. This diversification aligns with both state and national workforce priorities and reflects the organisation’s proactive approach to supporting Australia’s economic recovery, infrastructure growth, and housing development initiatives.

The expansion into the building and construction training sector enables Bush Tukka Pty Ltd to provide learners with practical, hands-on skills development opportunities that are aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements. By integrating its established expertise in high-quality vocational training delivery—originally demonstrated through the Adelaide Culinary Institute (ACI), the organisation applies the same standards of rigorous compliance, trainer competency, and industry consultation to its construction programs in Adelaide Construction Institute.

This development also strengthens Bush Tukka Pty Ltd’s long-term vision of becoming a multi-sector skills and training hub, bridging the gap between creative industries such as culinary arts and technical trades like cabinet making, solid plastering, and building construction. Through partnerships with employers, industry associations, and community organisations, Bush Tukka Pty Ltd aims to promote employability, sustainability, and lifelong learning pathways that empower students from diverse backgrounds to gain meaningful qualifications, enter the workforce, and contribute productively to Australia’s skilled trades sector.

The organisation’s commitment to industry relevance, skills development, and inclusive education is reflected in every aspect of its operation—from curriculum design and facility development to community engagement and continuous improvement. This strategic diversification ensures that Bush Tukka Pty Ltd remains responsive to evolving labour market needs while continuing its core mission of delivering high-quality, nationally recognised training that supports both learners and industry growth across the culinary, hospitality, and construction disciplines.
